LOS ANGELES – Independent solo artist, Dillon Baldassero (aka Leah’s bf) is releasing his EP titled ‘Pareidolia’ on August 16, 2024. The EP will consist of five instrumental ambient-pop works, combining Dillon’s influences from artists in the pop/hyperpop sphere (SOPHIE, AG Cook, Charli XCX) with his classical and cinematic compositional roots.
Dillon Baldassero is an LA-based composer, producer, and artist from Toronto, Ontario, working across various mediums and genres. Most recently, he composed the music for the TV series ‘Davey & Jonesie’s Locker,’ a co-production between Amazon Prime and Hulu, and is currently scoring the forthcoming feature ‘Balistic,’ starring Lena Heady (‘Game of Thrones’).
Notes Baldassero: “Pareidolia refers to the tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern (ie. Seeing God’s face on a piece of toast). The aim of this music is the same; to create an entrancing, dynamic sonic space for the listener, inviting them to reflect on whatever mental imagery, narratives or emotions that arise as they listen. I can’t promise you’ll see God, but the music will take you to some pretty cool places.”
