Francesca Morris is back as she returns with her emotionally charged brand of pop music with her latest release ‘Bad Neighbor’. Since starting her musical journey at the age of 12, and debuting in 2023 with ‘Never Will’, Morris has moved from strength to strength as she returns to the limelight with her authentic, honest approach to music making.
Starting with an enticing drum pattern, Morris’ beautiful vocal delivery shines through as she cuts an irresistible piece of pop music. ‘Bad News’ sees Francesca Morris bring her unique brand of open-book songwriting to the limelight for the second time this year. The indie folk sensibilities that shine through in the single are complimented by Morris’s exquisite ability to craft hooks and vocal refrains. The infectiously catchy melodies make a passing resemblance to Lizzy McAlpine or Holly Humberstone all while retaining a sound that feels fresh and exciting.
Co-produced with Paul Stanborough (Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Kylie) in Kent, Francesca used the song as a way of dealing with frustrations and difficulties that had sprung her way. She explains, “I started writing this song on my piano at home for fun and to vent some frustrations, and the whole thing seemed to spill out in about twenty minutes! Once it was finished I realized there might be something in it.”
