How did your personal experiences influence the lyrics and themes of “In My Eyes”?
We all go through the valleys and mountains of our lives and love is the bond that gives us strength, trust, forgiveness and hope no matter what situation we are in in our lives.
How does “In My Eyes” differ from your previous works in terms of style and message?
IN MY EYES is written as a traditional country song and is a danceable song, with lots of joy and spirit. So it’s not a ballad, which is what I usually write.
What challenges did you face during the production of the song and the animated video?
We recorded IN MY EYES in one of the best studios (Haldern Studio) in Germany. All instruments were recorded LIVE. There was even a string quartet involved, and guitar parts were played by the well-known Grammy Award-winning guitarist TED PERLMAN from Nashville, Tennessee. In the video we put a lot of emphasis on bringing the BIG EYES to the fore, lots of color and above all lots of effects, and the more often you watch the video, the more you discover. The video is a journey of discovery and never fails to amaze me. Wolfgang Hildebrandt, a songwriter and wrote the lyrics together with India Perez (songwriter, model, and actress) in Charlotte, North Carolina), attached great importance to creating the video himself
What message or emotion were you aiming to convey through the animation in the music video?
Every couple and every viewer can see themselves in the video. The animation and the oversized eyes convey love and affection even more and offer the viewer and listener plenty of space for their own dreams, inspiration and ultimately the ability to put themselves in the shoes of the video. The accompanying “In My Eyes” music video, a labor of love and AI creativity, amplifies the song’s message of positivity and hope. Through innovative comic-style visuals featuring characters and musicians with luminous, oversized eyes, it captures the essence of joy and inspiration. Actress Rosemary Rittner’s presence adds an extra layer of charm, bringing the song’s lyrics to life. It’s fabulous eye candy for a song that speaks to the power of love, and gives voice to the voiceless in a world where music serves as the salve, a prescription to help those yearning for human connection.
How do you feel about the reception of “In My Eyes” so far?
Fans and friends as well as editors etc. from the media industry are enthusiastic about the video. Finally, a video that makes a difference. Absolutely 100% positive feedback
How do you stay inspired and motivated to create new music?
Music is my life and is the most beautiful and best instrument to spread peace and love. It will accompany me for the rest of my life. A planet without music is a dead planet.
Can you describe your creative process when writing and producing a song?
I deal with a topic that concerns me personally or interests me. I then try to work on this in text and the appropriate melody. I always write text and music together in certain parts.
Are there any particular themes or messages you hope to explore in your future projects?
For me it will always be important to combine peace, tolerance, hope and love. I studied the teachings of Dr. King in Atlanta Georgia and visited the King Center several times. This touched me deeply and I will always continue to fight for human rights, also through music.
How do you see your music evolving in the next few years?
Music will once again be very concerned with lyrics and statements. Lyrics and music will once again be more of a unit and will touch people. Especially in this age of social media, people are still people, with all their joys and sorrows. Music lifts us up, reminds us of beautiful moments, and lets us dream.
