Real name Roland Kieff, DJ Roko’s musical career began at age seventeen when he first began to DJ. Moving from strength to strength, he began songwriting and producing with like-minded musicians to forge music that broke down musical barriers. His relentless passion for music-making is clear with his healthy back catalogue. Despite only starting to appear with the moniker in February of this year, he already has five electrifying releases under his belt.
Unity and love are key values within Roko’s music-making. Speaking about his ethos, he states how “Family is important to me and the song is dedicated to all families united together”. It’s this unifying message that instils such a positive undercurrent into ‘By Your Side’.
