You may recognize Charlotte Tucker from her popular Instagram that boasts over 1.9 million followers. But this pint sized powerhouse is also an actress with quite an extensive resume. Some of her credits include roles on shows “Average Joe” and “Found” but she is best known as the adorable Lily Loud in Nickelodeon’s “A Loud House Christmas”. I was thrilled when Charlotte agreed to this Vents interview to discuss her newest role in “Cobra Kai”.
1. Your new role is on the hit series “Cobra Kai”. What can you tell us about that role?
In the new “Cobra Kai”, I play the younger version of Tory Nichols, who is played by Peyton List. She is a sweet girl who really just wants to protect her mom, since they live by themselves.
2. What was it like filming with the cast?
Filming “Cobra Kai” was so much fun. The cast was so cool and so nice. They kept saying that I did such a good job. Plus, I got to film on Valentine’s Day which was extra fun. Craft Services had all these fun Valentine treats and even Valentines you could give to friends.
3. I’m sure it was a lot of fun filming. Is there a funny story from the set you would like to share?
During my scene, I had to drink some soda. The director kept forgetting to tell me to drink it, so I had to keep reminding him. He was a very nice director, actually everybody was.
4. You were also on the TV show “Average Joe”. What can you tell us about your role as Donna?
Donna is a little girl who accidentally does something bad. Everyone on set was so nice. They even had photos of me all over the set because it was supposed to be my mom’s room. They even let me take some fake money home. A really cool thing was that the director on “Average Joe” is really good friends with Jonathan Judge, who was the director of my first role on “A Loud House Christmas”.
5. You have quite a resume. What has been your favorite role so far?
My favorite role that I can talk about so far is playing Emma on “The Air He Breathes”. It was my longest time on set, because we filmed for almost a month. Everyone was so nice and fun to be around. I really liked the crafty snacks and I even had a dog co-star! Plus I learned how to draw a unicorn from the art department.
6. What is it you like most about being an actor?
My favorite thing about acting is getting to meet so many new people and making new acting friends! I love that I get to play all different types of characters. The set teachers are also my favorite because they are so nice and have lots of fun games to play.
7. Do you have any future projects you can talk about?
The next project releasing is “The Air He Breathes”. It will premiere on Passionflix on August 22nd. I play Emma, the daughter of one of the leads. I got to film for almost a month and I had a dog co-star. I just filmed a role in an episode of a new series coming to ABC this fall. The rest of the projects will be released after the first of the year but those are secrets.
