Redtones – “Whole Lotta Nothin”

The Michigan-based rock band returns with their latest single, “Whole Lotta Nothin”, from their upcoming album, The Calm Before the Storm. Following the success of “Maybe He Was Right” and “American Dream”, this track features powerful vocals, distinctive guitars, and memorable rhythms, all crafted by lead vocalist/guitarist Doug Borton. Created over a year in their Battle Creek home studio, the single addresses themes of accountability and justice, reacting to those who take advantage of others. Influenced by Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and Soundgarden, “Whole Lotta Nothin” captures a classic rock sound. The Redtones, rooted in freedom and independent thought, aim to inspire free thinking and debate on contemporary issues through their music.

Dide – “Human”

Meet Dide, a professional footballer and talented artist who has transformed his life and those around him through his music. From humble beginnings, Dide uses music as a creative outlet and self-therapy, navigating the football culture and public perception of athletes. His music career took off with his debut single “Thrill” in 2023, amassing millions of streams. In 2024, Dide released the powerful grime rap single “Mental” and now returns with “Human”, inspired by the racial abuse after the Euro 2020 penalty shootout defeat. “Human” tackles broader societal issues, with incisive lyrics and a hard-hitting video depicting racism and inequality. Dide’s lyrical prowess and authentic style, reminiscent of British rap greats, solidify his place as a significant voice in UK rap.

Hazel Gaze – Hazel Gaze II

NYC rock band Hazel Gaze releases their second album, Hazel Gaze II, showcasing a significant evolution in their sound with improved songwriting, refined performances, and enhanced production. Spanning nine tracks, the album offers a dynamic listening experience, from guitar-driven rock anthems to pop tunes, soulful ballads, and acoustic pieces. The lead single, “Do As You Please”, blends ‘70s inspired guitar riffs, organ lines, and modern sensibilities, epitomising their signature sound. The album’s lyrics range from political scandals to personal themes of betrayal and loss, with lighter, humorous, and motivational messages.

Chayne – “Number One”

Rising artist Chayne, a 17-year-old sensation with roots in both the UK and France, is set to make waves with her debut single, “Number One”. This dynamic track is a nostalgic nod to the pop punk era of the 2000s, reminiscent of the energetic sounds of Blink-182 and Foo Fighters, while infusing her own fresh perspective. Born in the UK in 2007, Chayne relocated to Southern France at the age of five. She then became perfectly bilingual in French and English, allowing her to seamlessly blend influences from both cultures into her music. Since 2020, Chayne has been honing her craft, writing and recording music using her family’s equipment, and now, she’s ready to share her talent with the world.

Besso – “Won’t Fade”

Besso, a Paris-born, Southern California-raised rising artist, producer, vocalist and DJ, releases his latest single, “Won’t Fade”. Known for blending introspective themes with dancefloor-ready grooves, Besso takes listeners on a sonic journey that captures the complexities of holding onto a relationship slipping away. The lyrics vividly depict emotional turmoil and the realisation of loss, with chaotic and airy synthesiser arpeggios enhancing the theme of feeling lost in a foreign landscape. As the hope for reconciliation clashes with the inevitability of change, “Won’t Fade” reflects on the complexities of love, where past and present intertwine relentlessly.
