1.) We’re super-excited to be speaking today with acclaimed and rightly lauded Brit crossover crew NYMPHIC; welcome to Vents Magazine, gang! Before we roll down the proverbial Q&A musical rabbit hole, could you all give a hale and hearty ‘hello’ to our readers and introduce yourselves?

2.) Congrats on the fiery new single Peony which drops this coming June 28! Stix, what’s the genesis of this electric new gem of a ditty?
We started writing this song on my bedroom floor as the first tune as a reunited band after George’s life-changing operation and the departure of a previous band member. We were all going through changes as individuals and as a band so we poured all our frustration and confusion into this track. This also perfectly mirrors the first chapter of the NYMPHIC comic in which this song runs alongside, where the NYMPHIC flower has woken from a 2000-year sleep, eyes stolen, tongue cut out, awake, furious, angry and confused, in search of answers.
3.) Antonio, on the same day that Peony drops, the companion music video for the tune also premieres; major kudos and accolades! Was NYMPHIC heavily involved in the behind-the-scenes production of this incredible new music video?
A: Yes, all members of the band were fully involved in the behind-the-scenes process, from transporting the drums through a muddy area to collaborating on post-production, with me and George editing the video
4.) George, who handled the producing honours on Peony and what was the collaboration process like between the band and producer while working on the song?
Our long-time pal OMNI – @0mnioffical was our producer for PEONY, as well as the following 5 singles we have in the works. The process was fantastic, between using high-quality studio spaces to spending long evenings at his place fine-tuning the track, we had a blast the whole time. 0mni is an incredibly talented and intuitive producer… he has a magical ability to know what I mean when I say ‘Uh can you make it feel a bit more grrrrr ?’
5.) Omar, what sets Peony apart from anything else currently going on in the world of 2024 music?
I believe we are pushing the boundaries of nu-metal and as we all see how evolved music is at this time, I consider Peony sets a unique and innovative milestone combining different styles of metal music making our song a very appealing tune for many. Besides that, Peony embraces the starting point of our dark storytelling side, pushing our nu-metal sound to the edge and making it even more interesting when we reflect our deep story through our lyrics.
6.) Stix, with the new single set to take the world by storm, should fans keep their eyes – and ears! – peeled for even more music goodness headed their way from NYMPHIC in 2024?
1000% after this single we will release 2 more alongside videos to continue this era of the NYMPHIC story, but we have already started recording 3 more songs for the prequels to this story, after that we will work on the music for the sequel trilogy and after that, we will dive deeper into the world of the NYMPHIC Flower with out giving to much away there is a lot more to come!
7.) Antonio, can music lovers look forward to catching NYMPHIC on the touring/performing circuit in the coming weeks and months?
A: If you want to catch us live, we will be playing our next gig on the 16th of July, followed by another on the 27th of August. Additionally, we will be performing at Cofest during the first week of September. We are particularly excited about the prospect of touring around the UK to share our music with all the passionate music lovers out there
8.) A question for all of you: Who inspires you, musically-speaking?
Omi: I’ve been inspired by my dad who involved me in music at a very young age and he was an incredible musician as well. In regards to drummers around the world, I’m inspired by those drummers who have decided to make drumming their life style and that’s what I’m in pursue of.
George: Polyphia, they are just so damn cool and they use the guitar in a way not many others are.
Stix: Iron Maiden and everything that has to do with Bruce Dickinson
Tony: Bullet for my Valentine, I got so inspired by them that I even have a tattoo with their name.
9.) George, NYMPHIC hails from the bustling burg of London, England! How do those particular stomping grounds inform the sound and energy’sof the music which the band creates?
London is a chaotic place to live, never mind to gig in the rock and metal scene – our audiences are crazy, and we are all a bit mental too, so I guess it all boils down to us creating this really high energy-aggressive sound.
10.) Omar, at the end of the day what do you hope listeners walk away with after giving many-a-spin to the amazing new single Peony?
I hope listeners end up loving Peony so much that they will ask us for more and we will give them more.
11.) Stix, we can’t let you all go before we talk about the release of the saga of ‘The Nymphic Flower’, which is a trilogy of themed videos, songs, and comic books! How did this brilliant concept all come about? It sounds completely unique and original!
I’m glad you asked! The project has been a dream of mine to bring to life since I was a teenager. I drew the NYMPHIC Flower inspired by the seed of life, a sacred geometry symbol that represents creation. to create a character that in itself represented the spirit of the earth. The saga of the flower and the world it’s based in has so much to it, the story is long and deep, taking inspiration from old religions and spiritual practices.
There is a lot to this story, but the purpose of the story is to allow the audience to find their own way through it. It was hard to find where to begin telling the story, so I was inspired by Star Wars to split the main story lines up into 3 trilogies, the first ‘The Awakening’ which begins with Peony being more representing of our modern age, the prequel trilogy which will be released after these 3 singles, witch dives into the history of the world and origins of the flower and the sequel trilogy witch will be the epic conclusion of the awakening.
I honoured this inspiration in the first release by referencing star wars in the lyrics. I have long been a fan of fantasy, anime and sci-fi and I wanted to create my world and story that talk about the struggles of humanity and how they have been disconnected from their spiritual power and their connection with earth.
Through this, I had the idea to combine the story with music, videos and the comic in order to also allow space for the reader to make their own connections and meaning in the tale. I want the comic to tell my story, the music and lyrics to add a layer of mystery and space for interpretation and the videos to connect the 2, I feel the different perspectives would allow more room for the audience to make their own connections
