Following the success of Nick Grant’s critically acclaimed album Sunday Dinner, the South Carolina powerhouse surprised fans by releasing a deluxe version today via Infinity / Virgin Music / Universal. With three new tracks featuring contributions from GRAMMY-nominated singer, BJ the Chicago Kid, and singer-songwriter, Rikayah Crawford, the deluxe album perfectly encapsulates why Nick has been dubbed the ‘rapper’s favorite rapper’ with co-signs from Nas, Andre 3000, Killer Mike, and more. Nick’s heavy hitting lyrics and ability to tell a story bring the album to life through a rich tapestry of people and life experiences that have been woven into what is a truly memorable rap classic. The full album is available across platforms, HERE.
“Sunday Dinner was the most vulnerable I have been on a project and I was so grateful with how it resonated with fans,” said Gant. “It was extremely deep and personal to me but I did feel like there was more to tell. I’m really excited for these new tracks on the deluxe version and I can’t wait for fans to hear this final interaction.”
To celebrate the release, Nick performed at a special showcase with a full band at Pianos in NYC hosted by label Infinity & Recordings. Rising ATL singer-songwriter, Isaiah Stone, opened for him. Check out images HERE.
Sunday Dinner offers a collection of personal events that happened throughout Nick’s upbringing in South Carolina. Raised by his grandmother and the community around him, one of the requirements for being in her household was to attend church every Sunday. Afterward the entire family would gather at his grandmother’s house where Nick would see different examples of people that would dramatically impact his life, worldview, and the person he would eventually become. From various cousins who attended college and others who did not; a mother who was on drugs; father who was in and out of his life; and other things that went on in the projects, the wordsmith recounts all of this and more on this album which serves as a quintessential soundtrack for self-reflection, night drives, hanging with friends, and nearly anywhere in between.
Fans can look forward to more from the wordsmith in the near future as he prepares to release new music in the coming months. To keep up to date on all things Nick Grant, follow him across his socials (Instagram, X).
