Bliss Carmxn releases loving debut EP ‘Hold My Hand And I’ll Hold Yours’

Backed by a team of female, queer and gender non-conforming artists to help make the realisation of his ambitious soundscapes, Bliss Carmxn is constantly supported by those around him a testament to his charm. Canadia-born Adam Kaasa is the man behind the Bliss project, his classical training morphing into a new sound as he built a reputation as a proudly queer artist on Berlin label Wicked Hag. Featured on television series, radio and acclaimed by global tastemakers, the now London-based artist is an exciting and unique prospect.

At the cutting edge of an enticing electro-folk movement, Bliss Carmxn’s blend of heartfelt, storytelling songwriting and pulsating synth design, is an effortlessly alluring musical prospect, able to balance thoughtfulness and bewitching infectiousness. This sound is part of what makes his debut EP ‘Hold My Hand And I’ll Hold Yours’ so great to listen to. As audiences move through a landscape of heartbreak, love and self-reflection, Bliss guides them with a wise smile on his face. Even in the painful emotional moments, there’s still a feeling that the artist will find the silver lining, with the bright instrumentation fighting against the sombre chords. Full of glittery optimism by the final track, listeners are left with a sense of joy and satisfaction as the final snare crack fades away.

Bliss shares the purpose of the project, “The EP acts like a relationship in reverse. We start at the end and end at the beginning. It’s a vulnerable, fierce, soft and joyful set of tracks that reminds us there’s always a new beginning when we draw a line in the sand.”
