Today, the dynamic folk duo Fox and Bones (Scott Gilmore and Sarah Vitort) set off on their seventh US tour, ready to rock audiences with tracks from their freshly released album, Long Time Honey.
Hailing from the vibrant city of Portland, Oregon, the pair will weave their musical magic across eight East Coast cities, from Massachusetts to Georgia. There, they’ll be sharing the stage with the renowned Americana supergroup, Fantastic Cat.
With over 1000 shows under their belts, both stateside and across Europe, Gilmore and Vitort are seasoned performers. This tour, however, will spotlight just the two of them. “But fret not,” reassures Gilmore. “We make a lot of sound with the limbs we’ve got.”
Reflecting on the tour, Gilmore shared, “Being based in the Pacific Northwest, it can be tough making it out to the eastern corners of the U.S. This will be our first time performing in Maryland and Massachusetts, and our third return to Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA!”
As for the headliner, Gilmore couldn’t contain his excitement. “We’ve had the pleasure of seeing Fantastic Cat several times and can’t wait to share the stage with one of our favorite bands!”
One of the highlights of touring for Gilmore and Vitort is the chance to meet fellow music lovers and soak up the local culture in each city. “It’s fascinating to see how traditions oscillate throughout different states and countries,” Gilmore mused.
And what about tour rituals? Gilmore grinned, “The ritual that brings us the most joy is chatting with friends and fans after the show before we hit the long road to the next gig.”
