Ever since actress Jessica Alba hit the ground running back in 1994’s Camp Nowhere, there’s been no stopping this diminutive acting dynamo. Of course her big break on the small screen came in the form of the 2000 series Dark Angel, followed by her K-O punch on the silver screen with such flicks as Honey, The Fantastic Four, Sin City and Machete. When it comes to paying her dues and knowing her way around the ever-shaky Hollywood landscape, Alba is a seasoned veteran. And speaking of which…
Jessica Alba is not to be trifled with as a Special Forces veteran in the new action-frenzied trailer for the upcoming Netflix film Trigger Warning. Wanna check it out, action lovers? Of course you do and – lucky you! – we have the first official look right here, courtesy of our high-testosterone pals over at the bare knuckles offices of The Hollywood Reporter!
Following the story of a commando making her way back home after she learns of the sudden passing of her father, Trigger Warning heats up quickly as Alba must contend with a very-not nice gang once she starts snooping around in an attempt to get some answers about her loved one’s death.
Directed by Mouly Surya (This City Is A Battlefield), Trigger Warning is an action-thriller written by wordsmiths John Brancato, Josh Olson and Halley Gross. Along with Alba, the movie also features the inimitable acting chops of Mark Webber, Jake Weary, Anthony Michael Hall, Kaiwi Lyman and Hari Dhillon. Not to be left out of the proceedings are the film’s producers Erica Lee, Basil Iwanyk and Esther Hornstein.
So what does newly-minted action hero Jessica Alba say of her very action studded turn in Trigger Warning? Funny you should ask…
“I loved Die Hard,” Alba explained regarding her decision to take on the challenging role in Trigger Warning. “I loved Star Wars. I loved Lethal Weapon, Beverly Hills Cop, all these movies I grew up with, but I always felt like I wanted to see the women kicking ass instead of always being saved.”
We’ll all get the opportunity to see Jessica Alba kicking some ass when Netflix releases Trigger Warning this June 21!
