Jack Howard releases captivating new single ‘Another Day’

Born in Portsmouth, Jack Howard is emerging as an exciting one to watch, with his move to London becoming the catalyst for a soaring live reputation, acclaim from BBC Radio 1 and festival features at The Great Escape and Wild Paths. His hazy, alt-pop and soul blend is currently enticing fans towards his upcoming debut EP ‘All Things That Came Before’, a project that sees Jack reflect on growing up, explore identity and masculinity, and speak on relationships, hardships and grief.

The latest teaser from the EP has arrived as ‘Another Day’. A blend of all the best elements of indie, jazz, soul and alternative music for a smoothly produced anthem of captivating musicianship. The details are incredibly intricate, with new instruments emerging for the first time with a sense of familiarity, whilst the blend of fragility and power is played to perfection. The constant build seems to reach climax after climax, constantly upping the ante for just how momentous the track’s subtle distorted roar, ethereal synth hum and complex drum rhythms can get.

Jack explains, “Another Day is about hope. This song is about someone I love overcoming addiction. When I was younger sometimes all I needed was hope that the sun would come up and a new day would begin. Even now I still wake up extra early so I can sit in the silence of day break. When I wrote this song I needed to be hopeful that it was all going to be okay. I hope this song gives you a little bit of me!”
