SENTO is a Swiss-Norwegian producer who is now unveiling his latest EP ‘Delirium’. Already drawing attention with its teaser single, the project’s opener ‘Impulse Control’ won an award in the ‘Lyrics & Beats’ category at the Swiss Music Industry Summit, m4music. Debuting in 2019, SENTO has showcased an ability to self-produce a dreamy combination of electronic and acoustic music, releasing a slew of singles and one previous EP.
‘Delirium’ is a fabulous dive into ethereal atmospheres driven by smooth grooves. Though the music’s groundwork lies in rich, twinkling synth hums that swirl through prismatic design, there’s a constant feel of funk and jazz influence, with bass lines carving a pocket in the music that draws in all other elements. Vocally, SENTO is impassioned and soulful, leaning into instrumentation as both the main focus and deeply within the ensemble. Balancing two opposing energies, SENTO delivers a bright and charming listen.
SENTO adds, “This record encapsulates a state that I feel not only I, but many other people of my generation experienced in these last couple of years after the pandemic; A constant shift between depression and euphoria, a feeling of transience that somehow feels tragical and relieving at the same time. I found the term “Delirium” to be quite matching for that state. The project also touches on personal topics such as addiction, vices, heartbreak, love and friendship.”
