Born in Nigeria, but maintaining an international presence, Sadé Awele delivers an authentic kaleidoscope of R&B and afro-soul, drawing from her heritage and legends of the craft. After a recent video for the single ‘Intuition’ was seen at the likes of Atlanta Film Festival, Paris Short Film Festival, and Toronto Short Film Festival, Sadé has now released the full EP of the same name, alongside the announcement of her upcoming Candian tour.
The new project showcases glowing, warm instrumentation, with rich percussion grooves providing the foundations for intricate, gentle and embracing melodies across the ensemble. Sadé’s vocal performances are consistently angelic, embracing sultry performances that grab you with soulful nostalgia.
The artists adds, “Intuition was written with the intention of creating a diasporic sound, influenced by my Nigerian upbringing combined with a mix of cultures and genres that have shaped my identity. Intuition tells a story of my journey to finding peace, finding myself, finding joy, feeling pain, and embracing the moments in-between.”
