Sherzodjon Rasulov is a sportsman in Universal Martial Arts. His name stands out. He was born in 1999 in Ferghana, Uzbekistan, and has worked hard since 2015 to succeed in his sports career. He has become both a sportsman recognized nationally and globally and a trainer for the next generation.
Sherzodjon won major competitions in Uzbekistan, Dubai, and several other impressive Asian locations. 2019, for example, he prevailed at the 5th International Mixed Martial Arts Championship and the 6th International Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Championship. These wins were impressive moves for such a young fighter at the time.

That same year, he also won 3rd place in hand-to-hand combat sports in the Championship of Uzbekistan and 1st place at the Republican Championship in Nukus. His biggest achievement, though, came in 2022—he landed 3rd place at the World Championship in Universal Martial Arts in Tashkent.

Discipline and resilience are of major importance to Sherzodjon. He got inspired by Khabib Nurmagomedov, a coach he visited once and followed as a sports model later to improve his skills and the importance of training the next generation. Under this mentorship, Sherzodjon began to appreciate the art of coaching and began teaching young learners the basics of universal martial arts. Outside of the sport, he also teaches them the importance of discipline and being involved with their local community.

Sherzodjon Rasulov believes in the power of a good education. He earned his Bachelor of LLB to underscore this, making note of his desire to continue his personal development. Throughout his college years, he took on several jobs, from Bar Manager Assistant to Concierge, showing his versatility both in and out of sports competitions. This versatility is bound to take him far, both in martial arts and in coaching.
Going forward, Sherzodjon dreams of reaching the ranks of UFC champions. While pursuing these personal milestones, he also plans to train the next generation of MMA fighters, teaching his skills to youth in his area. Even for students who don’t pursue a professional martial arts career, Sherzodjon believes that sports are the perfect medium to foster traits like discipline, strength, and integrity, qualities that can be applied to life outside of the sports ring.

Sherzodjon Rasulov’s commitment to teaching the younger generation further proves his commitment to martial arts as a whole. His sportsmanship inspires those around him, from the students he trains to his peers in the field. He continues to break barriers in martial arts and uses his strong leadership skills to build relationships with others like him across the globe. His relentless pursuit of excellence is one that will be told for years to come.
