Senegalese-American showstopper Marieme is back with her newest single, ‘Changin’, which gloriously marks her upcoming album, ‘Heartbreak,’ scheduled for later in 2024. ‘Changin’ represents Marieme’s authenticity and best emotive self, diving headfirst into topics of grief and the scars it leaves. Glowing and glorious, Marieme is truly an artist to behold.
Reflecting on ‘Changin, Marieme explains, ”Changin is about embracing a new you that has faced grief. Sometimes what hurts the most is knowing that we’ll never be the unbroken people we were before grief, but only by embracing it, learning from it and processing it fully can we truly bring closure.”
Having been supported by KCRW, BBC Radio 1, and having had huge syncs with Netlix’s The Light We Carry with Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey, and Apple TVs Truth Be Told, Marieme is making a big impact with fans and industry alike. Preluding the upcoming album, ‘Changin’ offers a glimpse into what looks set to be a profound record.
