Space Fight Shares “Fallin For It” Single

Today, synth-heavy indie-pop group Space Fight is releasing their long awaited EP, Hypserspeed. A combination of 80’s dream pop, ballads, and 00’s chillwave sounds, the EP shows off bandleader Spencer Miles ability to craft a diverse yet artistically driven project.

The EP’s focus track, “Fallin for It”, is a classic ode to Indie Pop, acting as a time machine, and bringing listeners into a dreamy, 80’s, echo chamber. Miles’ vocals shine brightly on the track, particularly on its epic chorus, where they soar across the buoyant rhythm put together by the band.

Discussing the focus track, Miles said, “the song didn’t come together until almost the last minute of production. And when it did, we briefly thought of reworking the whole EP. We couldn’t figure out how to start the song, and I went back over all the guitar parts Tom Welch had sent me, and somehow I had missed the one that’s in there now. I threw it back in and then everything seemed to work, and it brought this Smiths-like vibe to the song that we considered trying on some other songs, but ultimately decided it’s a nice unique detail that gives the track its own space on the EP.”
