Fright Years first appeared in 2021, taking the Edinburgh music scene with their anthemic blend of indie rock and pop. Members Jules, Harrison, CJ and Struan saw acclaim across their first three singles ‘Another Life’, ‘Every Weekend’ and ‘Warning Signs’ from the likes of BBC Introducing, Radio X and Channel 4. In 2023, they appeared on festival stages across the UK, including Ynot?, FOCUS Wales, and Stag and Dagger.
For 2024, the four-piece has returned with their new single ‘Evil’. A delicate but compelling vocal performance, rhythmic guitar chords and punchy drums all come together to build an uplifting atmosphere. With a vibrant soundscape filled with personality, it’s no wonder Fright Years is set to have a pivotal 2024.
They share, “Evil is our indie rom-com. It’s about trying to make someone fall in love with you and maintaining power in the dating stage – but in the end, you can’t control your feelings. Think Andie in ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 days’.”
