Mery Diamondz Mery Diamondz is best known as a Singer/Songwriter and Dancer hailing from Yerevan, Armenia. After moving to America at the age of 3, Mery found her passion for singing and performing. Mery has been busy in the studio creating music and has released a total of several original singles over the last several months. Now streaming everywhere are It’s a Girl, Rockstar, Black and Red, Dark Winter, Jus Dance, Toxic Love, You Lied, and Don’t Judge Me. She has several other projects in the works including plans for a clothing line, TV show projects, and an EP. When Mery is not in the studio she enjoys creating social media content and would love to travel the world one day.
1. Your newest single is called “Don’t Judge Me”. Tell us about it.
My latest single “Don’t Judge Me”, is about facing criticism, judgement, and disbelief from others. It’s a reflection of overcoming these hardships, aiming to resonate with those who’ve experienced similar struggles.
2. How quickly do you take a song from concept to recording?
Typically, it only takes me a couple of days to gather my thoughts, pen down the lyrics, craft the melody, and record the song.
3. How do you prepare to go into the studio?
I go through my morning ritual which involves visualizing what I’m going to get done for the day, and it’s a matter of getting my notebook laptop and heading to the studio.
4. Any plans for live performances? Live performances are planned for next year. stay tuned for more updates.
5. What’s the biggest hurdle have you ever faced in your life?
I encountered numerous challenges in my life. Initially, when I met my producer, we geared up for projects, but progress halted unexpectedly, leading to financial struggles that took me years to overcome. Despite these hardships, I persevered, emerged stronger, and eventually restarted my career. Today, I stand resilient, having rebuilt myself to where I am now.
6. What is it you like most about being a singer/songwriter?
It brings me great pleasure to share my messages with others through my lyrics and storytelling; I love to entertain!
7. Do you have any future projects you can talk about?
I have many upcoming projects I am so excited about! Some of my upcoming endeavors include composing additional music, teaming up with an artist, performing at live shows, participating in film projects, and introducing my merchandise line. I have so many more exciting ventures on the horizon so stay tuned!
