We’re very happy to have some time today with acclaimed Argentine duo Cimmerian & Luciano F; greetings and salutations, gang! Before we meander down the musical Q&A pathway, how is the 2023 holiday season treating the two of you?
First of all, thank you very much for inviting us. We have had a very busy 2023, many releases and tracks that will be released in the next few years, including new collaborations between the two of us.
Major congratulations on your beautiful and heartfelt contribution to the freshly-minted LP Purified Fragments XVII which is set to be released this December 14! Cimmerian, can you tell our ever-inquisitive readers how you and Luciano F came to be involved in this powerful new album?
At first we were unsure where to send the track, it wasn’t difficult to find a label where it really fit but we always believed that the best place was going to be Purified. We know of the enormous history that this label has and the recognition in the scene, it was always our first option, luckily there were no problems and they accepted the track with open arms.
Luciano, can you talk a little about the contribution of Cimmerian and yourself on Fragments XVII, the mesmerizing and altogether unforgettable tune Interconnect (Extended Mix)?
Yes. Cimmerian showed me an idea of a project he was working on, I really liked the idea and offered to work on the project together. That’s how we started creating Interconnect.
Cimmerian, Purified Records is the home label of Purified Fragments XVII. What makes Purified Records the best and only choice to release this incredible album to the world?
I always wanted to be part of the label, they are really committed to the music of their artists and give everything for them, it has a concept and aesthetics that I love, great producers have passed through here and being on the same labels as them is a very great honor.
Luciano, what’s it like to share album space with such amazing artists as Italian producer birø and Polish artist Rafa’EL on Purified Fragments XVII?
It feels amazing to be a part of an album like Purified Fragments XVII in which there are very talented artists and producers!!
A question for the both of you: Who inspires you musically?
What inspires us is to make the public feel identified through our music, make them travel, feel new feelings and also be able to communicate ours, each track is a new journey with new emotions and challenges.
Cimmerian, what differentiates Purified Fragments XVII from anything else on the current day music scene?
As we know, this compilation is a classic of the label, it is an honor to be part of its history, Purified usually gives opportunities to emerging artists, which not all labels do, and to showcase new faces within the scene.
Luciano, what would you like readers and music lovers and folks who care about the world we live in to know about Only One and the seventeen installments of Purified Fragments?
I would like you to listen to and meet new artists and producers who are very talented, to whom Purified gives new opportunities through Purified Fragments and other releases. And let them know that Purified connects music with caring for the environment through its contribution to Only One!
Cimmerian, can you give us a hint or three as to what you and Luciano F have coming up in 2024?
We have new collaborations and solo releases, surely 2024 will be a great year, very good things are coming, we hope the public likes it
Luciano, at the end of the day what do you hope listeners walk away with after giving many-a-spin to Purified Fragments XVII?
