Joerg Peters, who goes by the moniker Fantomacs, has shown to be pioneering in his approach to electronic music, blending elements of ambient, jazz fusion, funk and rock into his eclectic compositions. Originally hailing from the vibrant cultural scene of Berlin, Fantomacs now finds himself based in Bern, Switzerland. With five albums already under his belt, he is ever-evolving, bringing old sounds into uncharted musical spaces.
The lead track ‘Air Stream’ starts up the album. Blending an atmospheric mix of electronic and live instrumentation, the new track is full of musicality in its improvisation and complex rhythmic soundscapes.
Opening with what almost feels like afro-house drums, synths open into nostalgic and funky guitar lines, with the track continuing to expand through every instrument through frenetic and masterful dynamicism.
