Cris Cap releases the old-school soul single ‘Show My Love’

After starting his musical journey aged 12, Cris Cap has gone on to become an accomplished songwriter with skills in genres ranging from jazz to disco to soul. The Germany-based musician blends this knowledge into kaleidoscopic new music with a distinct 70s and 80s flair. Audio engineer, TV director, instrumentalist and songwriter, Cris Cap’s multi-faceted creativity has seen him receive a range of press acclaim.

New offering ‘Show My Love’ blends the nostalgic sound of the 70s with elements of modern R&B, showing his compositional ability with a range of both orchestral and contemporary instrumentation that sees everything from synths to flutes merge together. With features from vocalist Tyla Raé and the saxophonist and composer Reiner Witzel, the track is energised with smooth yet energised melodies, laced in themes of relationship complexity.

Cris Cap shares, “I wanted to capture the essence of the sweet yet bitter ballads that colored the seventies. The kind of song that wraps you in nostalgia while carrying a timeless message. The inspiration for ‘Show My Love’ flows from my admiration of artists like Burt Bacharach, the Carpenters, and the Bee Gees.“
