From TV to Economic Empowerment: A Remarkable Journey
Wolverhampton, [28th October, 2023] — At just 16, Ifeoluwa Oyatokun, embarked on a remarkable career journey, taking her first bold step into the world of television, a childhood dream come true. She would go on to work with several prestigious TV stations across Nigeria, showcasing her undeniable talent.
However, what Ifeoluwa Oyatokun never anticipated was her transformative shift from the television screen to the realm of business development, conversations about wealth multiplicity, and financial acumen. It wasn’t a passion from the outset; rather, it was something that came naturally to her, a testament to years of interning with her mother, supporting her small business, and her extensive experience in managing projects and product ideation.
Upon arriving in the United Kingdom, Ifeoluwa Oyatokun initially envisioned a future at the BBC or some illustrious radio station. But a higher calling, it seems, had other plans. The conviction to embark on a path in business was undeniable. Uncertain about where to begin, she embarked on a journey of volunteering, understudying, certifying, and mastering.
Her journey soon transformed her into an authority in the field, fluent in the language of business. She decided to put her knowledge to the test, initially working with a small Black business, mentoring several others, and eventually joining the Business Finance sector of one of the United Kingdom’s largest banks.
What this remarkable journey taught Ifeoluwa Oyatokun is that there exists a glaring disparity in the success rates of Black SMEs compared to other ethnicities in the UK. This is coupled with a substantial gap in execution, economic scaling, knowledge, and confidence among fellow Black entrepreneurs and professionals in the UK. And this is an issue that cannot be ignored.

She undertook the creation of experimental businesses, delving into various entrepreneurial waters. Yet, when she reached the corner office, finding herself drawn to the allure of power and wealth, she heard a different call. It was the call to give back, to allocate her resources entirely to the cause of raising confident Black Entrepreneurs and Economic Leaders in the United Kingdom.
Recognizing that such a monumental endeavor couldn’t be undertaken alone, Ifeoluwa Oyatokun engaged with other authorities and honorable men and women who have achieved remarkable success in business and careers across various sectors in the United Kingdom. Together, they birthed NOBEEL, a Network of Black Entrepreneurs and Economic Leaders, United Kingdom.
NOBEEL is on a mission to foster a clear definition of purpose, provoke a shift in mindset, and demystify industry secrets. All of this will be unveiled at the upcoming NOBEEL SUMMIT, a groundbreaking event where professional prowess meets business acumen, where purpose is clarified, economic equity is achieved, and strategic leadership is nurtured.
NOBEEL has already supported a substantial number of Black entrepreneurs and made a significant economic impact through its initiatives.
The NOBEEL SUMMIT is proud to present an impressive lineup of Directors, senior leaders, and stakeholders from Fortune 500 companies, financial analysts, and ace entrepreneurs from the UK. It will also feature purpose and business authorities from Arizona.
