Today we are pleased to join forces with Mary Scholz for the premiere of her new music video for “Montana,” which in the words of Scholz herself “is a love letter to youthful wandering, to sun-filled days, to the contradictions that only a place as picturesque as Montana can be, a place that can have, at the same time, “the summer breeze and winter snow.” So much is heavy right now, there’s so much to focus on that’s challenging…we also need to give ourselves permission to feel light. This song dances through the sunlight of falling in love with friendship and appreciating the beautiful moments that arise in that process.”
Montana comes from time spent on a US tour in 2014, a few days off in the gorgeous landscape of that state, with a person who started off as an acquaintance, and became one of my very best friends. The lyric video features images from the area, and snippets of Sarah and Mary on that grand adventure they took.
