VJ Jaxson drops introspective sophomore EP ‘Changes’

Up and coming Dublin-based artist VJ Jaxson is quickly establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with. His music pairs soulful melodies with a high-octane vibe that allows his powerful voice to flourish in the soundscape. Genre influences include hip-hop, rock and RnB, culminating in the emo rap he’s become known for. First engaging with music as lead singer in choirs from a young age, then to busking round Dublin, the artist has become a talented multi-instrumentalist taking on the industry.

VJ has just released his sophomore EP entitled, ‘Changes’, effortlessly smooth RnB is laced with punk rock and emo elements to create an innovative and unique sound. Across the seven-track project, he offers up themes of self-reflection and self-improvement in his lyricism, bringing a deep vulnerability but also unparalleled confidence. The artist ranges in his emotional portrayal from introspective, energised, melancholic and playful masterfully fusing these feelings into a cohesive package.
