Fear The Walking Dead Now Streaming on Max, New Spinoff on AMC

AMC Networks and Warner Bros. Discovery have struck a rather unusual deal: AMC is bringing several of its highly acclaimed TV series to the streaming platform Max (formerly HBO Max). For a limited amount of time, Max subscribers can now watch the popular series Fear The Walking Dead, among other shows. Meanwhile, AMC is releasing a brand-new spinoff of the long-running post-apocalyptic TV show on its streaming platform AMC+, with The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon spinoff launching in September as well.

New deal brings AMC shows to streaming platform Max

Throughout September and October 2023, Max subscribers can watch a plethora of AMC shows at no additional cost. These include Fear The Walking Dead, A Discovery of Witches, and Killing Eve, all of which will be coming to Max as part of a new “programming pop-up” deal between the two networks. In total, 200 episodes of seven TV shows are jumping ships for two months, giving Max subscribers the rare opportunity to watch some of HBO’s most popular shows as part of their subscription.

AMC aims to bring its shows into more homes and get people excited about them, hoping they will subsequently subscribe to AMC+ once the “pop-up” has ended. The new deal brings season one to seven of Fear The Walking Dead, the first of many The Walking Dead spinoffs, onto Max. The first part of the eighth (and final) season is exclusively available to stream on AMC+, with the final episodes of the show bringing an end to the popular spinoff in October. Anyone watching the show on Max will, therefore, be easily enticed to continue on AMC’s platform. Simultaneously, a brand-new The Walking Dead spinoff is premiering on AMC+ this month, as The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon expands the franchise’s universe further.

The Walking Dead’s undying appeal

While the main The Walking Dead storyline concluded in 2022 with the 11th season, a whole slew of spinoffs have ensued over the years, giving fans endless options to jump into the post-apocalyptic world. Fear The Walking Dead is one of the first and most popular spinoffs, among others such as The Walking Dead: Dead City, and Tales Of The Walking Dead. Another spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, will be lurching onto TVs in 2024. Fresh off the batch is The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which brings back Norman Reedus in the lead role. Even after all these years, the undead haven’t lost their appeal. With AMC bringing them to HBO’s platform, there’s no sign of the post-apocalyptic world seeing an end.

The games expand The Walking Dead’s world further

There have never been more ways to jump into the gruesome world of The Walking Dead. Apart from the shows, numerous video games have adapted the show in various ways. A brand-new game was just announced, showcasing how relevant the undead continue to be. The Walking Dead: Destinies will launch soon and invite players to re-live the first four seasons of the original show. But as a player, you don’t just have to live with what the writers decided, you can reshape the story and change what happens to the characters in this third-person action-adventure game.

Before the release of the new game, players are spoiled for choice when it comes to experiencing the long-running show in an interactive way. Telltale Games’ episodic adventure The Walking Dead is regarded as one of the best, as it leaves it up to you to make decisions and steer where the story should go. Taking it to another dimension, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners invites fans to immerse themselves in the gruesome post-apocalyptic world in VR. The undead have even managed to find their place within the world of casino games. Many of the best-rated online casinos as ranked and listed on casinobonusca offer a large library of games and regular promotions to help players get started. Many of them include the official AMC The Walking Dead Online Slot and The Walking Dead 2 Online Slot, bringing the familiar faces of the show’s characters onto the reels of the games. The undead clearly keep on walking and aren’t showing any signs of slowing down.

AMC is bringing some of its biggest shows onto the streaming platform Max, allowing a wider audience to experience the ever-growing The Walking Dead universe and other hit AMC shows. Max subscribers can enjoy this limited-time “pop-up” programming until October 31, 2023.
