Interview with Volume.com’s CMO Jon Romero on Their Artist Accelerator Program

Volume.com, an artist-first, live streaming platform, and music hub that has developed a network of music venues, festivals, and artists, is thrilled to announce the launch of the Volume Artist Accelerator Program and the new Artist Partnership with The Foxies.

Artists who enroll and stream in August may be eligible for a chance to perform at BeachLife Ranch Festival in Redondo Beach, CA. The program also includes weekly streamer grants, showcases, and offers opportunities to play at Volume.com’s venue network across the US.

Volume.com’s CMO, Jon Romero, has helped manage artists like Kings Of Leon, Kesha, Kenny Rogers, and Kid Rock and, over the last two decades, has generated millions of impressions, #1 records, a Cannes Gold Lion, a Clio, and a NY Times best-selling book for his clients. Jon Romero is committed to helping artists cultivate and monetize their community through technology.

We had to opportunity and pleasure to speak with Jon about Volume.com’s Artist Accelerator Program and what indie musicians can expect from signing up and more:

Volume

What inspired you to create the artist accelerator program at volume.com?

Volume.com is an artist-first platform, and we are always looking to put that into action. With this program, we are helping our streamer community get to that next level by giving them opportunities to play gigs, play at venues, receive music grants, and give them the spotlight within our music community. This program and these streamers are a part of the Volume.com DNA, and it’s important to cultivate that.

How does it differ from the other programs out there?

With our accelerator program, we focus on a few realistic and foundational needs of developing artists while leveraging Volume.com and the venue network that we have been building. This program provides grants for playing our regular live-streaming showcases and opportunities to play at some historic venues across the country, like 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville, TN. Paying gigs and having opportunities to play venues are all key milestones that can help an artist.

What do you hope to achieve with this program? What is the ultimate goal?

The goal of our program here is to help our streamer community and showcase our artist-first mentality at Volume.com. We want to highlight the suite of tools at Volume.com that we know music creators can leverage to cultivate their community while benefiting from these acceleratoropportunities.

Why should artists signup/apply?

We hope music creators see the benefit of the tools we have created and hope they see these perks of the program as opportunities for their music creativity. One of the valuable things artists can give their fans is access to themselves and their performances. Our live-streaming platform allows artists to offer real perks that fans want. Access to the artist!

Artists have an amazing opportunity to perform at BeachLife through the Volume Artist Accelerator Program. Can you elaborate on how artists can qualify for this chance and what the selection process involves?

Any music creator can enroll at creators.volume.com. They must create a volume.com account first to submit their Volume artist page. Then the only other requirement is that they need to go LIVE once in August to be eligible. Once our timeline is up, we will have a panel of industry professionals look at the eligible artist and pick one to represent the Volme.com streamer community at BeachLife Ranch Festival. This artist will open the Speakeasy stage at the festival with their performance.
