The first season of The Mandalorian hooked people, myself included. I didn’t watch it when it aired originally, but it got good reviews, and so pretty soon after the last episode of that first season dropped I binged it, I believe in one day, two tops. When the second season came around, I was looking forward to it, and watching it week by week. How good is season two of The Mandalorian? Which episode is the best? The worst? Here are my rankings of all eight episodes of the second season of Mando’s adventures.
8. “The Passenger”
7. “The Siege”
6. “The Heiress”
5. “The Rescue”
4. “The Marshall”
3. “The Tragedy”
2. “The Jedi”
1. “The Believer”
A step down? Sure, but a really good season of TV nevertheless. Oddly, the Boba Fett of it all did not hinder the show too much, and my number-two episode is the Ahsoka Tano episode. I did knock “The Rescue,” the season finale, down a bit because of the post-credits seen setting up “The Book of Boba Fett,” a show that was only interesting when Mando was on it.
The bottom two episodes are kind of whatever, decent enough for not remarkable. “The Passenger” is the Frog Lady episode, for the record. However, I liked Ahsoka, I liked Timothy Olyphant as the Marshall, and I thought the second season of The Mandalorian was no sophomore slump. There is one season left to cover. I’ll get to season three next time around.
