It’s a relaxed, intimate track that is full of beauty in both the instrumentation and lyricism. Baba Ganoush really show of their talent with this track, setting the stage for their future releases with presence and impressive songwriting.
The band share, “We have been playing music together for years but have been intentionally waiting for the right song before doing our first release. We wrote ‘Swimming’ in an hour, and knew straight away it would be our debut single. We recorded it in our friend Pete Beardsworth’s living room. It features singing from the wonderful Natalie Duncan, who recorded her vocals in her bedroom wardrobe. We wanted to record and release this song entirely ourselves, to celebrate and channel the joy we experience when playing music together, for each other.”
