Lenny Lorenzi aka LENny (IT), is a Romagna native born in 1990, developed a profound passion for electronic music from a young age. As a teenager, he embarked on his journey, delivering captivating DJ sets and producing his own music. By the age of seventeen, Lenny found himself behind the decks at Titilla, the exclusive venue located in Cocoricò, Riccione. This marked the beginning of an extraordinary adventure that swiftly propelled him to perform at prestigious venues such as Sankeys in Ibiza, Macarena in Barcelona, Output in New York, and Clevelander in Miami. Naturally, he also graced the stages of renowned clubs along the iconic Romagna Riviera.
With previous releases on labels like Natura Viva, G-Mafia Records, 7AGE Music, LENny (IT) now lands on Sony Italy offshoot Reload Records with Power: a slick, melodic, deep house cut with a soaring vocal and intoxicating atmosphere.
We’re super-excited to be speaking today with acclaimed music artist extraordinaire, Lenny Lorenzi who is known far and wide by his nom de plume LENny (IT); greetings and salutations, my friend! Before we dive into the Q&A mosh-pit, how has your summer of ‘23 been treating you?

Congratulations on your most recent single, Running! What was the inspiration behind this gem of a tune and what made it the perfect choice to be your newest single release?
All start after I hear a nice drop with vocal by Calvin Harris set @ Ushuaia. Was the 2022 and that bass and vocal, with the melody was really deep, something that I felt inside me. I spent 2/3 weeks for find the exactly sounds and atmos for create similar linear sound and track. But all was finalized after I find the singer!
In your opinion, what differentiates Running from other tracks on the 2023 music scene?
I think it’s something that you can find just after you listen in a club, in front of Amazon stage and the track is played. The vocal makes the track a great original.
How is Running similar to some of your past music? How is it different?
Completely different, I spent the covid time to change a lot of my idea of music. The main theory now is create melody and not more grove. I felt in love with organic sound and huge synth that create a lot of space in the track
Who inspires you musically?
Ambience and mind setup. All start with a nice coffee and a lot of music inspiration from the past. Sometime I just hear some vinyls (I have almost 30k) other time start with a video of 5/7y ago, somewhere with a nice sunset or a memory of my past.
With the recent release of the new single, can fans look forward to an EP or LP release from you before the end of 2023?
Yes I have set up three releases from now till the end of the year, plus an Album in 2024.
What does your touring and performing dance card look like in the coming weeks and months?
I will back to play august 12 in nice building on top of the water in center Italy. After that will be time to flight back in nyc where the scene is wait for me. The dream will be play fix for one of the best spot in nyc, but for the moment the clubs where I am playing are still great for me.
You’re a native Italian. How do those roots inform you as both an artist and as a person?
Bad! The true is bad! Usually when you say I am Italian people think that we are rude and a bit pushy, but for me is a general overthink. Italians can be also polite and really elegant too. So please don’t think we are nuts just because we are Italian.
Any final thoughts which you would like to share with readers on your freshly-minted single Running?
I would like to see it on many Spotify summer playlists, to give to the track the best shot possible to be on top. Martin Garrix already played @ Ushuaia, so I am excited for what can come out! Play that track and after 5/6 times you can fully understand the track.
