With a gritty guitar reminiscent of the sounds of post-punk and new wave, heavy wild’s latest release ‘Death Dreams’, is a genre blending new single. Aside from the guitars we see shimmering synths decorate the choruses, adding that melancholy, false positive soundscape that your ears can’t help but enjoy. The bass is drenched in distortion, which, when paired with the fuzzy guitars contrasts the haunting yet beautiful vocals, filled to the brim with raw emotion that entices you in further.
The band share, “This song marks a slight shift in style from the earlier singles with the energy of the track mirroring the spirit in which it was written, after partying in Montreal last summer, and the emotions and themes it deals with such as grief and the hedonism which can accompany it.”
