Marco Colao, a talented actor with an impressive portfolio, sat down with us to discuss his background and his path into the world of acting. Born in Florence, Marco initially had plans to join the army after high school, hoping to experience a life of adventure and excitement like the characters in his favorite movies.
However, a twist of fate led him to attend an acting class as an auditor, taught by director Giuseppe Ferlito at the “Immagina” school of drama. Marco’s natural talent shone through, and he was chosen by Giuseppe to play a small role in his film “Infernet.” Marco’s career continued to flourish as he landed various roles in both television and film. He was chosen as a lead role in the docu-series “Terzo Indizio,” which aired on Rete 4, one of Italy’s most prominent national channels. In 2019, he had a guest role as Valerio Todini in the national TV series “Il Paradiso delle Signore.”
One of the highlights of Marco’s career was being selected by internationally renowned singer Laura Pausini, along with Biagio Antonacci, to star in the music video for their song “In questa nostra casa nuova.” The video, directed by Gaetano Morbioli, allowed Marco to showcase his acting skills in a unique and exciting way. In 2021, Marco took on the guest role in the national TV series “Fosca Innocenti,” acting alongside actress Vanessa Incontrada. Additionally, Marco was honored to be chosen as the lead role in the international commercial for “Barilla Vero Gusto,” directed by the French director Jean Paul Frenai.
