The musician, singer, and rapper, is excited to announce his return from a much-needed break!
Meyer has been working hard behind the scenes to plan a breakthrough and engaging comeback for fans to relate to and new ones. The indie and underground artist is looking to break out and have a major comeback after having chosen Mic Angelo, also known as Mike Bona as his Producer and Mix Engineer at his famous music spot The Mix Palace recording studios located on Long Island, New York. Mike gained notoriety for recording and mixing Public Enemy’s biggest sellers “Fear of a Black Planet” and “Apocalypse 91” Both albums landed on multiple Billboard charts and received Platinum Records. Apocalypse 91 debuted at number four on the US Billboard Top 200 chart and at number one on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA shortly after its release.
Mike Bona established respect from Hip-Hop Artists and began to record for Nas, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Redman, Cardi B, LL Cool J, and more after working once again on the Juice Soundtrack which went platinum for features such as B.I.G. Notorious. The two have sat down, discussed, and are fully committed to “Detached” and its sequel “To Hell And Back” with a budget to include multiple mainstream artist features for the Debut from Kevin Meyer. The releases will include long hours for the dark and originally difficult story to open up about. The double release will feature subjects about Psychologically explosive sentiments that strike you hard with quick words and beats while keeping true to the storyline of redemption, life-threatening both mentally and physically resulting from an attempted suicide but whom the artist does not want to solely be perceived as the one who survived yet already accepted by the public as a punk, goth, and known as a suicide survivor. Punk Rock was always there since a teen it is part of Meyer deep down into his bones and in his musical roots. Since a teen, he had a love for the whole skateboarding X-Games and Vans Warped Tour Punk/Rock scene.
Meyer stated, “ I just feel I need to grow as an artist and enjoy rapping and the creative flow behind it.” Through Rap he explains he can express the complete story since it is full of lyrics with extra verses and hard-ass beats whereas punk-rock is about playing fast loud music with screaming and singing melodic tunes with power chords adding in harmonies. He knows this is an overdue but highly anticipated release and is looking forward to expressing himself through rap for all music fans and by mixing subgenres where you will be hearing pop/punk songs over trap beats as well. Even with his angst and frustration he has come to terms and now is promoting suicide prevention and even drops a few lines to help other victims or anyone suffering. Meyer cites heroically and repeatedly “Lets spread suicide awareness like its Violence.” Through this, he is promoting anti-suicide obviously but we know there are tons of explicit lyrics he will unload vigorously.
