Los Angeles-based funk house producer duo Epikker is excited to announce the release of their forthcoming remix of female solo artist iskwē’s new single, “I Get High,” out now. Their first single release in almost two years, the duo strategically teams up with iskwē on this groovy and uplifting remix. “I Get High” joyfully celebrates the ritual of getting high on all things, be it ganja, different genres of music, or just getting high off of life in general.
A fantastic solo artist who continuously pushes her own boundaries on “I Get High,” iskwē heads more of a dub and hip-hop vibe than featured on her previous tracks. Building off iskwē’s original, Epikker creatively chooses more of a grime and minimalistic direction with this remix when compared to their earlier releases. The duo dexterously pitches iskwē’s ethereal vocals up and down while adding glistening synths and hypnotic percussion to the mix. The result is a seamless and fun fusion of funk, house music, and hip-hop sure to make listeners feel the high vibe deep within their soul.
“Here in California we grow and smoke the best weed in the world, so naturally we’re authorities of getting high. This remix was made for those that get high on dub, hip-hop, house music, or everything in between. For those who like the funky stuff and need a solid tune to take them there.” ― Epikker
