Sunny Cowell’s “Dream” is a lo-fi alternative R&B ballad that features contemplative lyrics and is featured on her recently released first album, Anthology of Love. This song is her first release on Swaggertown Records, and packs stunning vocals from the Baltimore songstress (and then some). The song prompts introspection about prioritizing personal time in today’s always-on society. “Dream” is atmospheric and otherworldly while also maintaining a certain level of chill.
The Cherry Hill Festival, Artscape, and the Fells Point Fun Festival should all feature performances from Sunny Cowell this summer. Sunny has been quite active locally and looks to match that momentum with her release schedule in terms of singles. A new song by Sunny will be released on the 19th of every month; the first is a house tune titled “Full Time” starring Baltimore’s own Eze Jackson, and the second is an R&B track titled “Higher” again featuring Jackson on the 16th of June. Don’t sleep on Sunny.
