Sonder Pictures is picking up steam in the independent film world as they gear up for their fourth feature film entitled “Gardenia”. The film shoots this summer in Greece and will be directed by Mike Perrone. This will be Perrone’s third feature and his first stab at the horror genre. The film follows a reunion of high school friends as they meet for a holiday on an opulent, self sustaining island. At first glance, the island seems to be a slice of heaven, but as the days go on, the people, and the way they operate begins to become erie and slightly nefarious. Think Midsommar meets Epstein’s Island. The story was written by Andrew Katzenberg & David Matthew Friedman and will be produced by Gabby Kono along side Sonder Pictures. The cast is being formed right now but from speaking to Perrone, it seems he has every intention on keeping it in the family with cast members that he has worked with in the past. Sonder Pictures couldn’t reveal much more but from the looks of it we may have quite the thrill ride coming to us from the young talented team by Spring 2024.
