Daniela Galasso showcases her talent on latest single “Embers.” The track manages to find the perfect blending point between emotional and infectious. “Embers” features a vibrant melting pot of understated drums, heartwarming synths and divine backing vocals. On top her irresistible melody lines work hand in glove with her heartfelt lyricism.
Speaking about the single, she says: “I really loved the idea of contrasting comfort and warmth with something cold—how a relationship can be great but at the same time the small thought of not having your person can scare you shitless. I intentionally made the verses in Embers sound more peaceful and cozy, whereas the chorus exemplifies the more frantic, nervous energy I was feeling at the time.
“I wrote Embers in the middle of winter in 2021, and it actually started with a songwriting challenge where I was given 10 words to include in a song. I can’t even remember all of the words at this point except I do remember the word “Anymore” was in the bunch…initially I left it out, but it was the last word so I decided to make the song more dramatic and created a post-chorus using it, which was super fun.”
“Shortly after writing it I ended up going to a cabin in Tahoe with some friends. The first time I played this song live for anyone was in the cabin we stayed at—the whole setting really inspired my theme more so I decided to get the song produced.”
Daniela Galasso’s lyrical content fully connects with her audience – with stories about love, relationships, personal struggles, and ordinary life all found within her music. She’s an artist to watch out for, for sure.
