Los Angeles-Based Public Haus Agency Takes a No-Nonsense Approach to PR and Marketing as it Expands with New Services in 2023

Upon launching Public Haus, the Los Angeles-based PR, influencer marketing, and content agency, in 2017 founder Ryan Croy had a vision to create something unique. Croy, previously an executive at a top entertainment and brands agency in Hollywood, recognized a gap in the market for an agency model that emphasizes leveraging a core set of strengths to demonstrate value to clients, rather than being the largest, most glamorous agency in the city. This approach has resulted in steady growth for Public Haus since its launch, now based in the San Fernando Valley.

“From the start, I was determined not to blindly pursue every client opportunity that came our way, particularly if it wasn’t something we were truly passionate about or felt we could knock out of the park,” Croy stated. “By turning down opportunities that didn’t align with our vision, we created room for the right opportunities to arise. Despite the need to increase revenue to expand the agency, I trusted my instincts and it paid off.”

As Public Haus enters 2023, the agency remains committed to this approach. This dedication has led to consistent growth for the agency year after year since its launch, and 2023 is expected to be a particularly successful year.

Public Haus’ humorous “Buzzwords” video, which was released a few years back, showcases the agency’s “No BS” approach to communications. This cut-to-the-chase commitment to identifying client needs and helping them quickly fill these PR and marketing voids helped Public Haus expand its services into various consumer sectors including automotive, active lifestyle, health and wellness, apparel, hospitality, and food and beverage.

Croy said that the moment he realized his company was on the right path was when the agency secured Chevron as a client in 2018. As a small business, winning the opportunity to work with a company as big as Chevron gave Public Haus the ability to expand both in size and services. The agency initially worked on specific product launches for the consumer products division of the company, but their strategies were so effective that their work has now expanded to other areas of the larger corporation.

Croy, who has extensive experience in senior positions at agencies in both Los Angeles and New York City, mainly working on public relations, established a digitally-focused agency that integrates media relations, influencer marketing, social media marketing and content production and various paid marketing techniques.

“We approach each client campaign with a personalized approach, recognizing that their perceived needs may not align with their actual needs. Before agreeing to any requests, we conduct a thorough brand assessment and make recommendations that will best serve the client. This approach has led to long-term partnerships with our clients.”

Public Haus continues to expand its services and hone its specialized approach, most recently creating strategies to help clients stand out on platforms like TikTok in addition to a PR program for companies and individuals that guarantees media coverage on top-tier media sites.

“Although we have broadened our services since our launch in 2017, our objective remains unchanged,” said Croy. “We collaborate with clients that motivate us and consistently exceed their expectations. This is the cornerstone of our agency’s philosophy.”

Public Haus Agency, located in Los Angeles, represents clients from various regions of the United States as well as from Europe.
