Joby – “4u”
Following a string of releases over the last two years, Berlin-based artist Joby has just unveiled his brand-new single, “4u” – an emotional yet energetic pop-rap tune laced with emo-rap guitar melodies alongside trap-style drums. The track was written and produced by Joby and mixed/mastered by TRIXX Studios (Juice WRLD, Trippie Redd, Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj). Showcasing Joby’s impressive lyrical abilities and heartfelt vocals, “4u” is surely his best track to date and gives listeners a candid look into his life for the first time.
Jay Cue – Finish Strong
Jay Cue is a Los Angeles-based hip-hop/R&B artist, who has just released his new album, Finish Strong. 12 tracks of straight-up authentic hip-hop music that all hip-hop/rap fans will be able to appreciate, the album is an impressive listen from the opening title track through to closing track “Gone”. Packed with dynamic and versatile beats that provide the perfect backdrop for Jay’s effortless rap flow and delivery, it’s an album that makes a huge impression on first listen, and it definitively spotlights him as one to watch in 2023.
Yung Pre – “Underdog”
Yung Pre is a rising rapper from Lexington, Kentucky. He gained over 500,000 streams in 2022, a testament to his growing popularity, which he looks set to build on further in 2023, starting with the release of new single “Underdog”. His smooth cadence and lyrical prowess that have made him stand out on previous releases are again present on “Underdog”. The track is further enhanced by its infectious and inspiring hook about coming out on top as the underdog, which many will be able to relate to.
Rochee – “T.F.”
Rochee is a singer/songwriter/producer from Brooklyn, NYC, who blends his experience performing/writing for rock bands, pop groups and R&B groups to create a unique alternative R&B sound that is original and incredibly catchy. His music creates sonic landscapes for the listener to get lost in, as can be heard on his brilliant new single, “T.F.”, which was co-written with Oscar/Grammy/Golden Globe award-winning songwriter Anthony Rossomando. The rhythmic track draws attention immediately with its atmospheric, toe-tapping beat and Rochee’s smooth, hypnotic vocals alongside a string of lush melodies, which all work in tandem to create an irresistible soundscape.
Kat G. – “Where They At”
Kat G. is female rapper and singer Kathryn Miller based out of Los Angeles. Arriving on the scene in 2017, Kat immediately showcased what she was all about, and that is catchy hip-hop tracks that draw attention while her unique and intoxicating flow and voice floor you. Kat G. now begins 2023 with her smoothest release yet in “Where They At”. A bouncy and beat-driven production drives the track from the off, and it gives Kat the perfect platform to unleash another stylish yet standout performance.
