From Payday Loans to Millionaire: The Inspiring Journey of Steven Cohen, a Solar Energy Entrepreneur and Mentor

Steven Cohen is living proof that not all who wander are lost. Once in a gray area in his life, he found direction by pursuing his dreams. Through hard work and determination, he has become a millionaire millennial with a 7-figure net worth.

Contrary to the conventional mindset of graduating college and finding a job, Steven left the University of Nevada. “There was a breaking point where I was with my mom, and we were going to a payday loan place because she was late on her bills. I knew I had to make something happen. I couldn’t wait 5, 10, 15 years because my parents were getting older,” Steven recalled. He then found an opportunity with a network marketing company that equipped him with essential entrepreneurial skills. After three years, he became adept in sales, team building, communication, public speaking, and personal development.

In 2015, Steven ventured into the solar industry, making door-to-door sales and traveling across the west coast, specifically California, Colorado, and Oregon where he first created sales teams. He went on to scale teams from zero to over a thousand people across the country. In 2018, Steven co-founded Sunder Energy. “My mission has been to help myself and as many people as possible live life on their own terms by increasing their communication skills, bringing in like-minded individuals that share a common goal and a common dream so they can reach success that much quicker,” Steven said.

He added, “My biggest goal is to try and help people grow and develop, because I believe that your results in the marketplace and your results in solar direct sales are a reflection of your inner world.” With over 10 years of experience, Steven continues to share his blessings by teaching people to invest smartly and never neglect their health. He is a motivational speaker and encourages people to improve communication skills and develop emotional intelligence.

For Steven, in order to achieve the income and external results you want, you first need to focus on your personal development, personality, attitude, values, and discipline. These non-physical factors are essential in order to sustain the life you want to live. As a millennial, Steven has been able to buy a house for his parents and steer clear of the impoverished life he once had. He now aims to lift others by sharing his experiences and providing talks in person, as well as creating content online through his Instagram, YouTube, and podcast accounts. In conclusion, Steven emphasizes that, “You can create a life where you can have all your financial needs taken care of and truly be able to tap into why you’re really here and figure out your mission.”
