Kelaska releases emotionally-penned new single “autopilot”

Kelaska is back with a new heartfelt offering “autopilot.” The track features a colourful melting pot of a simple but effective drum beat, over-drive soaked guitars and infectious vocals. Inspirations such as Alanis Morissette, Maggie Rogers and Carol Ades can all be heard within her music, however, these are fused into her music alongside her unique and signature sound.

Kelaska, born Kelli Wright, is a Connecticut based singer-songwriter. After gaining a following of over 30,000 subscribers on her Youtube channel, she began to write and create her own music.

Blending dreamy waves of eerie synths with vintage rock guitars, Kelaska has found her own unique sound in the world of indie pop. With influences ranging from Maggie Rogers to Phoebe Bridgers or even Fleetwood Mac, Kelaska likes to blend different genres and styles into her music.

Her new single “autopilot” is an emotional and personal track that Kelaska wrote during a period of depression. She tried to put into words the way she was feeling – especially that overwhelming comparison of how she felt as opposed to how she should have been feeling, according to what the society would think.

Kelaska was on “autopilot” mode and she wrote that song as an anthem for people in her situation to relate to and especially to know that this is okay. The artist isn’t afraid to talk about serious topics and uses music to give a voice to others for our greatest pleasure.
