The winners of the 17th Annual w3 Awards have been announced with more than 3,000 entries from across the globe, Kandiid, a social marketplace app that launched in 2021, won the silver for Best Mobile Apps & Sites-Cultural. The selection by The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), comes as a well deserved gesture to the hard work and ingenuity that has been put into Kandiid’s front end and interactive platform. Fully equipped with all of the features of a social networking app, Kandiid boasts the ability to provide users accessibility to control the narrative of their creativity. The framework of Kandiid is created around the premise of serving as a social marketplace for creatives.
As a winner in the category of Best Mobile Apps and Sites – Cultural, Kandiid and its team are honored as the journey has been long and challenging. From the inception of the initial logo prototype created in an apartment in Columbia South Carolina in 2018, to leading the charge of the social marketplace, Kandiid stands on its long running commitment to support the arts and intellectual properties. “Kandiid is a vehicle of content driven by the people”, states founder Antoine McLaughlin. The Kandiid platform is a safe haven to be free of expression and creativity.
The Kandiid app operates with the same features of a social media app. The user’s can follow, like, and share content; however, what makes the Kandiid App unique is the “Klub” feature that allows users the ability to enter a marketplace of endless possibilities.The Klub feature highlights user’s on the interactive Klub feed for viewing. The Klub feature is where NFT creators have VIP access to directly promote created art to users on the app in one set location.
The w3 Awards, regarded as one of the most prestigious award competitions, celebrate digital excellence by honoring outstanding Websites, Marketing, Video, Mobile Sites & Apps, Social and Podcasts. Entries are judged based on a standard of excellence as determined by the AIVA, according to category entered.
The w3 Awards is sanctioned and judged by an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising and marketing firms. AIVA members include executives from organizations such as Accenture Interactive, Big Spaceship, Conde Nast,GE Digital, Majestyk, Microsoft, MTV Networks, Spotify, Tool of North America, Wired and many others.
