Twenty-one-year-old Calgary & Toronto songstress Victory stopped by and dropped off her new melodic single Another Chance (Confessions) which is centered around personal mental health struggles the young emerging singer-songwriter has faced. The new single explores Victory’s mental health during a vulnerable time in her life. Victory’s stunning vocals deliver a blend of soulful r&b as well as heartfelt modern honest songwriting that creates a new unique sound, yet to be heard in the Toronto music scene.

Victory’s new single was recorded inside Spotify Canada’s Spotify Studios after the young songstress was selected for back to back recording sessions by Spotify Canada. The vibrant strings blended in with her powerful vocal abilities from the beginning of the song immediately grabs your attention, while the luminous lyrics begin to paint a vivid picture in your mind.
The song itself, similar to a ballad of sorts, reminds you to push through the dark times when things seem hopeless or when you’re at your lowest. With conversations beginning to happen within the black community around the struggles both black men and women continue to go through daily, songs like this not are not only an incredible breath of fresh air but is what is needed in today’s music. When asked about the new release Victory said “Another Chance started as a confession of my mental well being. I had a conversation with someone close to me about what I’d been struggling with and just took all the things I said in the conversation and put in a song. The message is pretty straightforward, it’s about feeling numb or not so great and wanting another chance to experience happy moments between all the bad ones.” Another Chance was engineered by Jesse Yonge of Secret Weapon Studios an engineer for OVO’s own Smiley, some of his past credits include Tory Lanez, Gunna, Young Thug, Vory, Pressa, Duvy, Young Bleu, Yung Tory, Chief Keef as well as Killy & is available on all streaming platforms
