Getting to Know Nu Image Medical CEO Andreas Dettlaff

Andreas Dettlaff has always wanted to help people. Whether it’s through his company, Nu Image Medical, or his charity, the Dettlaff Family Foundation, he is on a mission to improve lives, both in his Tampa Bay community and nationwide.

With a degree in Finance from William Paterson University and an MBA from The Wharton School, a career in business has always been in Andreas Dettlaff’s plans. Growing up with an interest in technology, as well as in health and wellness, Dettlaff became intrigued by hormone replacement therapies that became popular in the early 2000s.

After watching aging physicians extend their vitality through diet, exercise, and thoughtfully prescribed innovative treatments, Andreas Dettlaff knew this was a field he wanted to be involved in. He partnered with his primary care physician in 2004 and together they began developing a proprietary weight loss solution.

By 2008, Andreas Dettlaff had founded Nu Image Medical in the hopes of addressing the many physical and hormonal changes brought on by aging. By being an early adopter of telemedicine, Dettlaff was able to grow his business many times over while also eliminating the barriers to clients seeking treatments. As CEO, Dettlaff has grown the Nu Image product lineup into a broad spectrum of categories, and grown its client base to include men and women of all ages.

The team of concierge doctors, formulary pharmacists, and quality assurance pharmacists that Andreas Dettlaff has assembled, continues to create unique and effective compound medications that set Nu Image apart from competitors. Their most popular products are their weight loss programs and erectile dysfunction treatments, but they have also found success with products for hair thinning and loss, loss of libido, poor sleep quality, low energy, and stress management. All of their programs and products are created based on client feedback and requests, putting the patient at the front and center of all decision-making.

The feedback that Nu Image Medical and Andreas Dettlaff receive is overwhelmingly positive, both in response to program effectiveness and customer service experiences; these frequent reminders of the benefits of Nu Image keep Dettlaff motivated and inspired. Knowing that hormonal imbalances and physical changes can lower self-esteem and even lead to depression and anxiety, he feels good knowing that he can help to create confidence for clients nationwide.

Andreas Dettlaff’s background in technology has also served Nu Image Medical well; in addition to being one of the first in the telemedicine space, he has been the catalyst to create their proprietary software platform that automates the entire company. Acting as an EMR (electronic medical record), an accounting software platform, a video platform, a billing platform, a customer service platform, a medical platform, and a reporting platform, Dettlaff has eliminated the need for third-party software solutions that may or may not integrate well together.

Admittedly a tough boss who expects daily results with few complaints, Andreas Dettlaff is also open to any and all suggestions that move the company forward. As Nu Image continues to grow at a rapid pace, he has prioritized their marketing efforts and strategic partnerships so that they can reach as many potential clients as possible.

Outside of his work at Nu Image Medical, Andreas Dettlaff loves to spend time and travel with his wife and their two sons. He and his wife are both actively involved in the Dettlaff Family Foundation, which works with local organizations such as the Children’s Cancer Center and St. Joseph Hospital to give longer and happier lives to children who need support the most. They host several events each year and are proud to have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations.
