Jonathan Sparks, a multi-faceted rock singer-songwriter from Atlanta is sharing the video to his intense new single, “Everything Fades”—a seething counterpoint to the feel-good breeziness of his recent single “Marry Me To The World.” The song written and produced by Sparks takes on the contradictory dysfunctions in his life and the world around him with a howling angst that’s anchored by solid blues rock riffs. He’s again enlisted incredible players and producers such as Ross Childress, former guitarist and producer for Collective Soul, and Peter Barker, once the chief engineer at Sony Studios and producer of bands such as Fall Out Boy, Jeff Beck and Guns N Roses. “Everything Fades” will be released digitally on November 11.
Says Sparks: “If all opposing cultures are valid, how do we distinguish the good from bad? Is a contradicting “Frankenstein” of a father deserving of our respect? ‘Everything Fades’ is an elegy to flailing angst in battle with love taking place in our postmodern dystopian soup— ‘nothing is free, not even our beliefs.’”
