Here at Vents Magazine, we keep our ear to the ground on the hottest artists of the moment and the upcoming ones to watch for the future. In this weekly feature, we’ll be bringing you 5 of these artists to listen to and check out in what we’re naming our “Special 5”. So, pop on your headphones, and take a listen to this week’s 5 tracks below…

Ghostluvme – “Hydro”

Fresh on the heels of his recent project, Mixtape, rising Florida rapper Ghostluvme has returned with his brand-new single, “Hydro”, produced by multi-platinum producer Brandon Finessin. “Hydro” is yet another impressive entry into Ghostluvme’s growing discography, and he continues to show he is one of hip-hop’s great new talents with a huge future ahead. With upcoming collabs lined up with megastars such as FutureTrippie Redd and Lil Uzi Vert, Ghostluvme will be one to watch over the coming months.

COOKIE. – “Bite The Bullet”

German-born, New York-raised singer, songwriter, producer and dancer COOKIE. brings a versatile sweetness that packs a powerful punch. Since arriving on the scene in 2019, she has dazzled with a series of stunning releases and has struck up a great creative partnership with Grammy Award-winning producer Brasstracks (Chance the Rapper, Anderson .Paak, Khalid) with tracks such as “After A While” and “Green Season”. And the pair teamed up once again for COOKIE.’s latest single, “Bite The Bullet”. Infused with catchy melodies, a memorable hook and a classic-sounding groovy R&B production, the track is well worth a listen.

F4ST – “Love Nwantiti”

Fainal and SaraTunes are the Colombian DJs, producers, singers and songwriters better known as F4ST. Thanks to a string of well-received releases, they have accumulated well over 40 million streams on Spotify alone, and they have been keeping their momentum going in 2022 with tracks such as the brilliant “Love Nwantiti”. Featuring their signature slap house beats, the infectious track is a certified banger and proves just why they have been having so much success over the past few years.

VTA – “The Weekend”

Hip-hop/rap newcomer VTA showcases his undeniable talent on “The Weekend”, a song about appreciating the weekend after the turmoil of a hard week, which we can all relate to. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, VTA makes a huge impression, with the track boasting a throwback old-school sounding hip-hop production and highlighting VTA’s smooth cadence, infectious toplines and sharp lyricism. It may be his first release, but it’s clear the emerging rapper has a bright future ahead.

Savi Kaboo – “Hurting”

As a singer, songwriter, rapper and producer, Savi Kaboo’s alternative sound and style defy borders and easy categorisation, building a diverse sound that draws on her international roots (American-Egyptian and raised in Vienna, Austria). Since arriving on the scene in 2020, Savi has independently released a series of unforgettable songs, one of which is “Hurting”. The track highlights Savi’s distinctive vocal tone and immediately draws you in from the first few seconds of the opening verse as she sings about the dark side of a relationship over a captivating beat.
