Musical disruptor Oliver Malcolm has just released his brand-new video for track “Day x Day,” a song from his Act Two project that reflects on life’s constant search and the forward momentum that can come when something feels just out of reach, personified in the story about a girl. “I did the concept for ‘Day x Day’ with the white box to have a framework to work within and what I purposefully did with the videos for Act Two is I took some leaves out of the book of theater because I felt like so many music videos at the moment are so effects-orientated and rely so much on cool styling, and I just wanted to strip it all back – no funny stuff, no effects, here’s me. I felt like it represented the song so perfectly, because it’s minimal, but effective. If it means something, but it doesn’t really mean anything, then it kind of does what good art does, which is it allows you to form your own meaning and your own reason. And then it resonates with so many different people, because they all form their own opinion on it,” says Oliver.

The project also features “Martian Man”, a bold declaration from Oliver’s limitless imagination about planting a flag in unexplored territory and pushing the limits as far as they can go, and then some…even if it makes him feel like an alien.
