We are living in an age where online presence is everything. The more people see you on screen, the more success you can garner. That’s why people spend millions on their social media accounts. For businesses, growing their audience by boosting their online presence is extremely important. Luckily, there are people who can help you in this regard. Kristina Edwards, the owner of Classy Chic Marketing, helps businesses and even new influencers grow their online presence. We have the good fortune of interviewing her. Let’s share our interview with you.
Interviewer:
When it comes to maintaining an online presence, some people emphasize posting more stuff, others emphasize less but quality stuff, and yet others believe engaging in more conversations (via comments and mentions, etc.) is a better way of boosting online presence. What is your personal style of boosting and maintaining your online presence?
Kristina Edwards:
If there is one thing I can’t emphasize enough, it’s consistency. I have achieved immense gain just from being consistent. It doesn’t matter how you post, when you post or how often you post. It doesn’t matter whether you engage with the audience through comments or emails or tag them, etc. Just be consistent.
Let me give you a fascinating personal example. I typically post two reels a week, and I achieve a great reach. I did this experiment where I decided I would post as many reals as I could for one month. Guess what happened? I ended up getting less reach on those reels! Why? Because my audience saw it as inconsistent. They weren’t looking for it or expecting it, so they missed it.
Interviewer:
As a social media influencer, you have a very busy life. How do you manage to maintain your online presence amidst your hectic routine (traveling etc.)?
Kristina Edwards:
Yeah, people see the fun in our lives, but they rarely see how hectic our routines are. I am an influencer, digital entrepreneur, media consultant, mom of 4 children, and wife. Managing all of this is pretty hard. I deal with this issue by scheduling my posts in advance. Every Monday, I get up and schedule the posts and perfect them. That way, I spend some hours on that, but then I don’t have to worry much about it for the rest of the week. I live my life in a structured way, and that really helps.
Interviewer:
What are some tips that you would like to suggest to people who want to enhance their social media visibility?
Kristina Edwards:
There are many things that I would like to suggest. Tag pages that you think would be interested in your content collaborate on posts with other pages, participate in growth campaigns, practice geotagging and engage with like-minded people and their content.
Interviewer:
Lots of people get disheartened when they fail to maintain their online presence; some even go into depression. What is your advice to those people?
Kristina Edwards
Well, everything can depress you if you don’t love it or are not very serious about it. If you love your job, then failures don’t dishearten you but strengthen you. I would suggest that you find something you love to do on media. That way, even if it takes a while for it to gain some real momentum, you will still be able to really exercise your creative freedom and help yourself feel positive and proud of your accomplishment. You will at least learn a lot which will help you in the long run. Believe me, your impact on others is far greater than you truly know and probably never will.
Interviewer:
How does your company Classy Chic Marketing help people boost their online presence?
Kristina Edwards:
Classy Chic Marketing helps people boost their online presence by giving your page exposure where they originally may not have any. Let’s say you have 50 brands teaming up that are giving something away, and all of them share each other’s pages with ALL their followers. This type of exposure is truly incredible and one hundred percent organic. Classy Chic always puts brands and influencers that have similar audience demographics together, which not only boosts exposure but also ensures long-term retention of followers.
