Legendary singer, songwriter and guitarist, José Feliciano, today released the English and Spanish version of his new single “Rozándome” (English versiontitled “Touch Me”), to all streaming services through Anthem Records. The new track marks the first official release from Feliciano’s forthcoming and highly anticipated new studio album Love & Christmas, due out November 4th, and comes on the heels of the recent Billboard and Telemundo announcement that the internationally renowned singer will be the first ever recipient of the Billboard Legend Award during the2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards taking place on Thursday, September 29th in Miami, FL.
The new collection of songs on the forthcoming Love & Christmas album, Feliciano’s first since 2020’s critically acclaimed Behind This Guitar, express the enduring themes of his music and life; passion, inclusiveness, community, family and the joy of the Christmas season. The new single “Rozándome” exemplifies a synthesis of the best of pop music with Latin passion and sensuality that highlights why José is foundational to the explosion and acceptance of Latin music around the world. When asked why he chose to record “Rozándome” in Spanish and English, José answered, “Why English? Why Spanish? Why not!” Simply put, it’s that he’s instinctively attuned to both cultures and his passion for the song fueled this desire to express it in both languages.
Love & Christmas will also feature the first new Christmas song written and performed by Feliciano in over 50 years, since the release of his beloved, bilingual holiday classic “Feliz Navidad.” Titled “Viva La Navidad,” the up-tempo, fun, and rockin’ new track is the cornerstone of this new collection of songs, celebrating the joy of the holiday season. Additional album cuts include renditions of classic songs such as Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature,” Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze,” and the Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody,” featuring multi-platinum selling, American Idol finalist Haley Reinhart (full track listing below).
