La Salle Academy
Later, Kevin Hoover gained less exposure; he was transferred to La Salle Academy, Overall, he `ended his high school days with an average of 19.3 points and 5.0 rebounds. As a high schooler, he had even suffered a knee injury (torn meniscus), which kept him away from the games for a whole season.
College Career
After two years at La Salle Academy school, Hoover came to Rutgers, joining the Rutgers university men’s basketball.
Altogether, Hoover had offers from all over, such as West Virginia, Kentucky university, and Oklahoma Sooners university. But in the end, he devoted himself to Rutgers university on his 18th birthday.

High School Career
Hoover has played basketball since the early days and has been immersed in it since middle school. Initially, Hoover was enrolled in Beacon High school in Manhattan, New York.

During his tenure in high school, he had posted an average of 17.4 points per game, which helped him bag the tournament’s most valuable player (MVP).
Furthermore, the very title also led his high school team to the New York Federation Class B state championship.
Following it, Hoover successfully claimed the High School Athletic Association B Division MVP.
Not long after it, he also earned the New York State Sportswriters Association Class B Player of the Year accolades.
